Art Toronto is Canada’s largest international contemporary art fair, located at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Art Toronto presents important artwork from leading Canadian and international galleries and features an engaging series of lectures and panel discussions from prominent art world figures, curated projects, and top-tier cultural offerings throughout the city.

The official opening of Art Toronto is a unique and important benefit gala for the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) which has raised $5 million dollars over the past 15 years. Funds raised at the event help support the AGO’s compelling exhibition and education programs, with a portion of the proceeds going to purchase works of art at the Fair. A highly anticipated part of this must-attend event is the acquisition of artworks by the gallery to “enhance the AGO’s permanent collection."
